Kokoro Ryu Bujutsu is dedicated to teaching the very best in martial arts.

This is achieved through the dedication of our instructors who have reached their level of expertise, not only through their skill and knowledge in martial arts but also for their ability to effectively pass on that knowledge and skill to our students.

Our instructors have come up through the ranks of Kokoro Ryu Bujutsu and have followed a traditional teaching system where the Senior teaches the art to the Junior. Thus all coloured belts are required to teach those under them, thereby reinforcing their own knowledge and forming greater bonds with the students. This means that all students are being trained not just to be good Black Belts but also good "Teachers".

To maintain our high standards the Instructors continuously undergo further training in all aspects of Martial Arts, self defense, personal development and the latest teaching methods.

Our style is based on centuries old knowledge which has been and still is constantly refined, to meet the ever changing demands of self defence, and it is our application of this knowledge that sets Kokoro Ryu Bujutsu apart.

Each person possesses different natural abilities, with size and strength varying with each individual, this is why our emphasis is placed on the teaching of principles not techniques. In this way once someone grasps the principles they can tailor an appropriate response to suit their own abilities in any situation, giving them the confidence and skills to be able to physically, mentally and emotionally deal with any defence of themselves or others.
